Elba Concrete Batching Plant – Control System Migration

CSI AUTOMATION a développé les automatismes d’une centrale à béton pour un client à Yaoundé. Le matériel existant étant obsolète et défaillant (PC de contrôle commande défaillant sans fichiers sources) la solution s’est portée sur un automate Siemens S7-1500, une supervision sur WinCC Runtime Advanced V16 et le pesage avec transmetteurs de poids en Profinet (LAUMAS).

Project Overview: CSI AUTOMATION re-engineered the entire control system for a Concrete Batching Plant in Yaoundé. Challenge: The legacy PC-based control system was obsolete and failing. Crucially, the original source files were missing, requiring a complete functional reconstruction. Solution: We migrated the plant to a robust architecture featuring: Controller: Siemens S7-1500 PLC. Supervision (SCADA): WinCC Runtime Advanced V16. Weighing System: LAUMAS weight transmitters integrated via Profinet.

Communication between the PLC and the weight indicators is established via Profinet. The legacy Interbus network for Distributed I/O was upgraded to Profinet by replacing the Interface Modules (IM) / Bus Couplers. The entire project was completed in under 4 months, covering the full scope: detailed engineering, procurement, programming, commissioning, and operator training.
