The client's system relied on a Quantum PLC communicating via Modbus Plus with a legacy XBTF HMI. Following the failure of the XBTF unit, and given the client's decision to postpone a full PLC migration, we proposed a Magelis HMI5GU as a retrofit solution. Understanding the intricacies of the Modbus Plus protocol, we conducted rigorous in-house testing using our own Quantum test bench. This comprehensive preparation ensured a seamless commissioning process at the local building materials factory.
